Unstitched from the narrative
of what happened before
Like I had been in a epic dream 

I woke up back home

Like a drained sail

Unpacked on my old bed

In a remnant fantasy

With the sunlight

Blushing through the curtains

Scratched in a analogue feed

With everything

From that train journey

And healing that huge rat

Playing out as a kind

Of lost eloquence

Echoing in my ears

Right up to when

You kissed me on the lips

And said ‘You’ll be late

If you don’t get up’
